Scope: Pine Bluff Chemical Disposal Facility is currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist Specialist to work in our Safety Department. The successful candidate will provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice to support the development, coordination, and implementation of industrial hygiene programs, study the workplace environmental factors that affect employees, coordinate and conduct required hygiene tests, develop and recommend corrective and preventative action to eliminate, control or reduce occupational health problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining safety and health programs, documentation, and systems and procedures to help monitor and prevent hazards and diseases in the work area. This position will investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace, perform professional safety and health assessments, provide training, prepare written reports of findings with recommendations, and coordinate corrective actions.

Relationships: This position reports to the Safety Manager .

Responsibilities: Must be a U.S. or Naturalized citizen. This position is designated as a Unescorted Access position. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel reliability requirements established by Army Regulations. Will rarely be required to wear a Chemical Protective Mask and will be required to work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility. May be required to work overtime or varying hours.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalent.

Experience: 5+ years of experience. Certification preferred.

The candidate should have 5+ years safety experience in a manufacturing environment and a BS in Safety Engineering or related. This position reports to the General Manager at the facility. This is a hands-on position and the sole Safety role for the site.

Product Stewardship Manager (Southeastern PA) for this small coatings company totaling approximately 500 employees. This person is responsible for the oversight of regulatory issues to support the development, sale distribution and safety handling of products worldwide. This person will be the lead representative for the company at
U.S. and Canadian trade associations and for government agencies on issues of Product Stewardship/Regulations and participating member of NPCA Product Stewardship committee. The person will initially sit in a plant of approximately 150 employees and the total company employee population is approx. 1400. This position is heavily weighted toward environmental. The candidate should have 5+ years experience in a chemical or related manufacturing environment, and a BS in Safety or related.

Corporate Industrial Hygienist (Birmingham, AL area) for this large heavy manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years industrial hygiene experience in a manufacturing environment, and BS in industrial hygiene or related.
